Welcome to La Farge!

Choosing the hamlet of La Farge as our home was easy! The tranquillity, the magnificent scenery, the pace of life and the friendly neighbours were just what we had dreamed of for our new life in France. It was also the ideal place to set up our new Bed & Breakfast and gîte business.

Our home - La Maison - is a maison-de-maître built in 1841 and we live here all year round. It was sympathetically restored in 2002 and we now have three beautiful bedrooms for Bed & Breakfast guests. Just across the lane from La Maison - and set in its own grounds - is our two-person gîte. The gîte is spacious, tastefully finished and perfect for two people wanting to get away from it all.

La Maison is situated in the delightful farming hamlet of La Farge, set above the River Dordogne. Nearby, nestling on the banks of the river, are the historic market towns of Argentat and Beaulieu. The stunning views and rolling countryside guarantee relaxed, peaceful holidays in this unspoilt area of France.

Your Hosts!
After many hectic years of chasing our tails in busy professions in the south of England, we escaped to south-west France in 2001. Several years on, we love our new lifestyle so much and are so convinced that our future is here in France, we now have dual nationality. To further integrate into the community we so love, we have legally changed our names from Helen & Keith Archibald to Hélène & Jean-Luc Chibal!

We enjoy nothing better than welcoming guests into our home and our lives. We love to socialise over meals, the odd glass of wine or down by the pool. Whether you prefer to relax by yourself or join other guests, we are always on hand to offer help and advice when needed.

Our motto has always been to give that little bit extra - a philosophy we still abide by. We set ourselves the highest standards possible to ensure that every single guest we welcome to La Farge has a truly wonderful holiday!
