La Maison : the guest lounge [click to enlarge]Because our four-course meals are freshly prepared using local produce and we use our own home-grown vegetables, we ask for minimum notice of 36 hours if you wish to eat with us. The meal costs 32.50 € per person and includes an aperitif, wine and coffee. To bring the meal to a relaxing end, coffee is usually served in the lounge.

Gîte guests can also enjoy alfresco meals in their private garden which is equipped with garden furniture and a barbecue as well.

A range of excellent restaurants can be found in the nearby towns of Argentat and Beaulieu. You can dine on the local delicacies, including duck, foie gras, delicious Beaulieu strawberries and vin-de-noix, which is made from the locally-grown walnuts. Our local bar [click to enlarge]

For something less formal, you’ll find brasseries, crêperies, pizzerias and bars. A local ferme-auberge serve up good-quality rustic dishes with generous portions. Back at La Farge, several delivery vans bring fresh bread and other provisions to the hamlet most days.
